Is it Too HOT to Knit?

The shop is closed. DH has gone back to work. Is it wrong to want to sit in front of the air conditioner watching old movies and knitting? I can tell myself that I need to knit this sample for the shop, but there are things that are certainly more urgent. Oh heck. I need to knit:
1. It is too hot to garden.
2. I need knitting samples.
3. I never take a day off to just knit.
4. I need a new summery sweater; I shouldn't spend $$ when I already have some lovely yarn that I can make a (better than storebought) sweater.
5. It is too hot to vacuum.
6. I need to stay home - the phone might ring. It might be important.
7. The cats need me here to keep their water bowl full of cool water.
8. Learning this new pattern is good mental exercise - it keeps the brain young.
9. I really should use up some of the yarn I have around here.
10. Knitting will keep me too busy to eat up the leftover cake and ice cream from yesterday's birthday party. Yeah, right.
11. It is too hot to do anything else.
12. It is never too hot to knit.

Well, here it is: my very first posting. As I organize my thoughts here, you are welcome to listen in, but please don't complain if you get bored. Since my thoughts are mostly about knitting, if you don't like knitting, you probably will be bored. (fair warning)
